Coach Chip Werner, Owner
I am Coach Chip Werner and I am the proud founder of Starting Line Health & Fitness, a launching platform for those who wish to achieve something greater from health & wellness.
I have been blessed to work with everyday people wishing to transform their lives, from professional athletes to weekend warriors who want to beat their buddies. Every one of them shared a common goal; they wanted to achieve personal success. I am thrilled to be a part of the personal journey each of my clients experience. Each has uniquely different goals and uniquely different challenges. The common bond each client shares, is my commitment to achieve the goals we set together as a team. Coach Kevin Luce
Coach Kevin is a Performance Coach and graduate of Oakland University. In April 2011 he received his Bachelor of Science in Health Science with an Exercise Science concentration. He is a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist through the National Strength and Conditioning Association.
Originally from Howell, MI he led his track team to back-to-back top 5 state finishes while setting records in the 110m hurdles, 300m hurdles, as well as being season and career points record holder and 3-time MVP.
He then received a track scholarship to Oakland University where he was a standout performer as a 5-time All Summit League athlete earning All-Conference and Scholar Athlete Distinctions. Coach Kevin currently holds records in the 110m hurdles, 400m hurdles, Indoor 1600m relay, and Indoor Distance Medley Relay and is the All-Time Indoor season, Outdoor season, Overall season and Overall career points leader.
While growing up he played soccer, basketball, football, hockey, baseball, and ran track. In his free time he enjoys running, biking, water sports, snow sports, and playing or watching basketball, football, and soccer.
Tracy Ryckaert PTA, NSCA‐CPT
Tracy is a 1995 graduate of Macomb Community College’s physical therapist assistant program and a certified personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Her entire professional career has been dedicated to the research, treatment and prevention of orthopedic and sports‐related injuries. For more than ten years, Tracy was the Director of Performance Enhancement at The Michigan Institute for Human Performance. She is presently a staff therapist at Neil King Physical Therapy in Rochester Hills, MI.
In 2011, Tracy founded an independent personal training services company called Trained PerFORManc, allowing her to combine all her years of clinical experience with her passion to enhance performance and prevent injury through individualized assessment, education and inspiration. It also allows her to work with all levels of athletes, continually researching, gathering new knowledge and creating new and improved techniques.
Tracy has developed and instructed circuit‐training classes for the YMCA. She has presented TriPLAYnar technology programs through General Motors and delivered Functional Strength Training and Hard Core Training seminars to clinicians and trainers in the Midwest. She presents Run Pain‐Free clinics regularly in conjunction with Running Fit stores in Metro Detroit and has been an on‐going featured speaker for the Crim Festival of Races in Flint, MI. Her expertise in exercise prescription and biomechanics has helped hundreds of individuals reach their goals in athletic participation, including marathons, triathlons and cycling.

Coach Debbie Booth
Following the family tradition, Coach Debbie started teaching swimming to kids she babysat starting at age 11. As she got older, she developed her coaching style by participating as a coach to her children’s sporting endeavors for everything from T-ball, to basketball, lacrosse and even…cheerleading. As her children established themselves as lacrosse players competing as NCAA athletes, Coach Debbie focused on coaching & officiating lacrosse teams, further developing her skills in strength, agility and conditioning. At the same time, Coach Debbie grew her career as an Aquatics Instructor teaching swimming and providing various group & personal training classes from strength and conditioning, general fitness, and deep and shallow aquatic training.
Coach Debbie has a unique program combining her land and aquatic coaching styles to offer the best fitness conditioning in both venues. She has the ability to help all clients by evaluating current fitness strengths and weaknesses and developing a program that works for that client in either a group or individual setting. At SLHF Coach Debbie focuses this strength on the sport of lacrosse offering the Lacrosse Academy, a program that develops the lacrosse athlete by working on Core Conditioning, Speed and Agility Training, Strength Training and Sport Specific Skills such as handling and passing skills.
In addition to her valuable coaching experience, Coach Debbie is a Certified Personal Trainer with the National Academy of Sports Medicine, an organization on the forefront of conditioning sciences. She is certified as an aquatics instructor through the Aquatic Exercise Association as a group fitness and personal trainer.
You will usually find Coach Debbie exercising or spending time with friends and family when she is not coaching, teaching or officiating either Lacrosse or Field Hockey events. She has completed several running events including the Detroit Free Press, Brooksie Way Half Marathons and Warrior Dash and takes pleasure in helping others accomplish these goals.
Coach Logan Heivilin
Logan is originally from Three Rivers, MI. He excelled in indoor soccer, intramural basketball, track and field, and cross country throughout high school. As team captain, Logan led his cross country team to three consecutive regional titles and top ten finishes at state. In track he was the team’s top 2-miler and his 2-mile relay team set a school record.
Coach Logan is a graduate of Oakland University. In December of 2012 he earned his Bachelor of Science in Health Science with a concentration of Exercise Science. Logan started his college career at Grand Valley State University. While at Grand Valley, he was a member of the Rowing team and medaled against top Division 1 schools at multiple regattas in the Midwest and the South.
Logan Is currently working on becoming a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist from the National Strength and Conditioning Association. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his young son, Carson, and competing in a wide variety of sports including running, indoor rowing, powerlifting, soccer, basketball, tennis, golf, baseball & softball, cycling, swimming and winter sports.
As a Coach, Logan looks forward to getting to know his clients and providing individual instruction for the greatest experience possible and to meet their fitness goals.
